Office Policies

Please take a moment to review our office policies.   We feel that all patients should be well informed about their dental care and part of that is understanding how our office operates.   If you have any questions, feel free to call our office.  We will be more then happy to discuss our office policies

Financial

Hollis Dentistry proudly accepts most dental insurance plans.  Dental insurance differs from health insurance with an annual maximum amount the insurance company will pay per patient.  Dental insurance companies also cover procedures at different percentages and do not cover certain procedures.  Our team will work to help you understand and maximize you benefits and submit your claims.  We will estimate your portion of payment based which is due at the time of service.  We want to avoid any financial surprises, however payment for services in full is ultimately the patients responsibility.

If you do not have dental insurance- don't worry!  Although payment is expected at the time of service, we can work with you to make a financial plan for larger treatment plans. 

Appointment

We strive to be on time for all patient appointments.  However, during the course of treatment there are occasionally unexpected delays.  We will always try to inform you if we think we will be delayed by more then 5 minutes.  
Your appointment is also reserved just for you.  If you are unable to make your appointment there is a 48 hour cancellation policy.  This allows us to offer the appointment to someone else who may be requesting the same time.  There is a fee associated with a missed appointment or cancellation within 48 hours based on the amount of time reserved just for you.

A missed appointment without advanced notice could result in dismissal from the practice.  More then one violation of the 48 hour cancellation policy over an one year period could also result in dismissal from the practice.  

Privacy

We are very serious about protecting your personal and health information.  We are HIPAA and PCI compliant and continue to review our policies to ensure your protection!  We currently use a third party to help our compliance and conduct monthly scans to ensure the safety of you personal, financial, and health information!
